Students testimonials

PHOTO 2026 01 28 20 38 07My experience with AGH was amazing from beginning to end. We were invited to Krakow on a very generous scholarship after completing the online courses and felt very well received. The teachers were really nice to us and they took us on 2 incredible visits to see how real mines operate. It was such an interesting experience, although a little challenging. Everyone on both courses has been super friendly and we have done plenty of activities together and created many memories. My favorite part was definitely the trip to Zakopane where we took a sleigh ride.

My experie71d0e855 bc06 439b 93e2 0df64d9eb671nce at AGH University of Krakow in the SPINAKER Sustainable Mining Technologies course was outstanding. The courses connected cutting edge sustainability standards with real engineering practice, and the professors created a highly applied, international learning environment. Field visits to KGHM Polska Miedź and Brzeszcze coal mine made the programme unforgettable, strengthening our technical understanding, from copper extraction to methane and ventilation challenges while showing how innovation and governance shape modern mining. As a student from Latin America, I especially value the knowledge transfer and the practical tools I can bring back to help advance safer, more sustainable mining in our region.
